At WilmerHale, we are committed to fostering an environment that embraces each individual's unique background, experience, and perspective. Our goal is to reflect the diversity of our clients and the communities in which we practice. We achieve this by recruiting talented and accomplished lawyers and staff and by providing resources to enhance their professional development and help them reach their full potential. We also provide these individuals with opportunities to impact the communities in which we live and practice through pro bono and community service.

EEO Policy: WilmerHale is an equal opportunity employer and committed to fostering a diverse workforce. It is our policy to administer all personnel actions including recruiting, hiring, training, and promoting employees without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, creed, age, marital status, veteran or military status, gender, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information or predisposing characteristics, medical condition or disability or any other protected status under applicable federal, state or local law. Consistent with the obligations of these laws, WilmerHale will make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.

AAP: In addition, WilmerHale has implemented an Affirmative Action Program designed to support its Equal Employment Opportunity Policy. We have established a firmwide Diversity Committee that includes representatives from firm leadership and lawyers from each of our major US offices. Our goals are to ensure that all lawyers and staff have the opportunity to develop their talents fully; to create a firm whose composition more closely reflects that of our clients and the world in which we practice; and to promote greater diversity in the legal profession.

A Diverse Workplace: We communicate the importance of diversity to all of our staff by sharing and publicizing diversity achievements, dedicating pages regarding diversity on our public website, and including important diversity information on our intranet such as our Diversity Committee’s mission statement, contact and membership list, and our calendar of diversity events. We also publish a quarterly e-newsletter, “People, Perspectives and Press,” which provides the Committee with a vehicle in which to share news, events, achievements, and to welcome new members of our community.
